While driving Kyle to his 1,400th pool party of the summer , I slipped on these bad boys:
In the car, Kyle says, "Mom, why are you wearing your fancy shoes?"
We then spent the 5-minute drive arguing back and forth about these NOT being "fancy shoes" and me realizing just how pathetic my wardrobe has become.

Fancy is right! Woo! I bought like 10 new shirts this weekend in an attempt to fancy up. So far, the one I'm wearing today is serving as an expensive piece of tissure for Campbell's snot. At least my hair's shiny on account of my new flat iron?

I agree with Alissa. Any shoes that aren't flip flops are fancy to me!

I agree, looks pretty fancy to me. I haven't worn heels in such a long time--and I don't plan to (unless we go to the ball). My family makes fun of my everyday slip-on shoe that I also wear to church almost every sunday. I have even replaced the soles. I'm all about comfort just like you!

It's gotten so bad at my house, that when Ryan sees me in something other than my pajamas he asks where we're going. :(
And I'm with Alissa--anything other than flip flops is pretty darn fancy to me!
I have a pathetic wardrobe too. You are not alone. One day I will have a better selection.
Those are FANCY-SCHMANCY! I don't even own a pair of "fancy shoes" anymore. Is that bad?
