Olympic Marathon

I've got to admit, watching a marathon on tv is not NEARLY as exciting as one would imagine.

Also, I can barely get myself to take a 2+ hour NAP, let alone run for that long.

I also figure I've got a few years before I begin training for the 2016 Olympics and beat Dara Torres' record of being the oldest swimmer to medal. I'll be 42, enjoy the title while you still can, Dara.

That is so funny. Last night my whole family sat and watched the marathon too. At the end of it I thought I can't beleive I watched every minute of it. Weird, really. Go Dara. She puts me to shame. She looks amazing. And did you love the gymnastics!! That was great!

Your quote about not even being able to take a nap for 2 hours, let alone run that long, has had me giggling since last night. Seriously. Random giggling in bed. BC thinks I'm insane.

This doesn't have to do with the olympic marathon, although, you know what? I watched it just to see if something better was going to be shown intermittently. Anyway, I'm writing you about the migraine thing. It's a looong story, but I'm on Frova (which are supposed to last longer) and Imitrex injections for fast relief. Have you ever had your neck x-rayed? I did, and the curve in my neck goes the opposite way it's supposed to. I'm in therapy for it (through an advanced chiropractor. I was very skeptical about chiropractics, but he found this reverse curve which is most likely causing the majority of my issues). If you want my doc's number, I'd be happy to give it to you. He is awesome. I still have about 9 months left of therapy to fix myself, but I'm on the road...
(if you're still reading this novel I just wrote...kudos!) :)

Marathons are for losers. It requires MUCH more stamina to survive summer vacation as a SAHM with more than half a dozen kids. (And I've done both so I know what I'm talking about).

we were thinking the same thing about the marathon, until that Romanian totally got that huge lead. okay, it still dragged on forever, but the end--as she ran into the stadium alone. i totally cried. i'm a dork, though.
